RDFCC is seeking a Treasurer for our Board of Directors!
If you have a heart for the Ottawa Valley community and a head for accounting, we want you on our team!
Our Board of Directors is a small, dedicated group of Ottawa Valley-based community service and mental health advocates with diverse backgrounds and skill-sets - join us!
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The treasurer will offer guidance to the Executive Director and the Board in ensuring good fiscal planning, forecasting, decision-making and oversight at a governance level.
● Chair the Board’s Finance Committee.

● Provide quarterly financial reports and monthly informal financial updates to the board.
● Present financial results in Annual General Meeting.
● Act as a signing authority for the organization.
● Ensure current and acceptable financial practices are in place in the organization.
● Assist the Executive Director in annual budget development and reporting.
● Work with Finance Committee, Chair and Executive Director to ensure an alternate and successor treasurer is identified, oriented and trained.
Qualifications:
● Experience in accounting and/or finance
● Strong communication skills
● Commitment to principles of equity, community stewardship, decolonization, and reconciliation.
● Interest or experience in nonprofit sector, community outreach or mental health work is an asset.
